Step 1: Foster Application (a.k.a. “I want to save a life”)
When you foster a dog, you’re giving a life-saving second chance to a dog coming from overcrowded shelters, neglect, or difficult situations. Fostering provides a safe, loving space where they can decompress, rebuild trust, and rediscover what it means to be cared for. You are offering your foster pup the stability they desperately need until we find their forever family. This is a vital part of our mission because you are enabling us to save more lives which makes you an essential part of the rescue effort. No rescue could survive without fosters as they are the foundation of dog rescue.
We ask all potential fosters to complete an application so we can thoughtfully match you with a pup that will thrive in your home.
Step 2: The Match Up 🐾
Once your application is approved, we’ll connect with you to go over the next steps and answer any questions.
Are you open to us playing matchmaker or do you have a particular dog in mind you’d like to foster?
Do you have breed or weight restrictions where you live?
Do have a specific time frame you can foster for us? A hard stop date?
Are you interested in fostering to adopt? 🐶
Step 3: The fostering begins…
The dog has been chosen and now it’s time to get your pup.
What does Paw Match provide for our fosters? We equip you with the supplies, resources, and support you need to successfully help your foster find a forever home.”

medications if needed

“Adopt Me” bandana and flag
Social media promotion of your pup
Access to top tier dog training classes, videos and one on one phone sessions with our trainers
We’re especially grateful if you already have some of these supplies, as it helps us direct more resources toward rescuing additional pups.
What do we humbly ask from our fosters-
Provide a loving and safe home.
Feed and exercise daily
Send in weekly pictures, videos and information so we can create a fabulous posting.
We have some great tips on sending bio’s and how to take adorable pics
If you are a social media ace, we’d love if you can promote your pup also
Your input. You will be the closest insider to this dog so we really value your opinion.
When we receive applications, we would love for you to be involved to help determine if the applicant is the right fit for your foster.
